Alaska's hottest 21+ beach party in the snow. The Buffett Beach Band brings live music, tropical drinks, and summer vibes to the Egan Center. Sing along, dance, and kick off Fur Rondy in style.

Fur Rondy Melodrama

A Rondy classic with over-the-top acting, local humor, and audience participation. Boo the villain, cheer the hero, and throw popcorn as the cast brings an Anchorage-themed story to life with slapstick comedy and musical numbers.

Frostbite Footrace, Costume Fun Run & Frosty Paw Dog Jog
Saturday, February 28 | 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Three races in one morning. Run the 5K, join the fun run in costume, or bring your pup for the dog jog. Starting at 5th Avenue Skywalk, finishing near 6th and G, with awards and post-race festivities.

Running of the Reindeer

One of the world's most iconic winter races. Costumed runners sprint down 4th Avenue in a mad dash to outrun live reindeer. It's about spectacle, costumes, and chaos—plus every registration supports Toys for Tots.

2026 Fur Rondy Pins
Own a piece of Alaska History
The first Rondy pins were created in 1939. Each year, artists compete to design the official pin and local students do the same in a booster button contest. These pins and buttons become collector’s items; some are worth thousands of dollars.

Every February, Anchorage comes alive for Fur Rendezvous—“Rondy,” North America’s largest winter festival. For over 90 years, this iconic tradition has celebrated Alaska’s frontier spirit, bringing the community together for world-class sled dog races, massive snow sculptures, and fireworks.
From its 1935 roots as a gathering for trappers and miners to today’s citywide celebration featuring over 50 events—including the Running of the Reindeer and the Official Fur Auction—Rondy is the ultimate showcase of Alaskan life and winter wonder.
