Since 1935, Fur Rendezvous has proudly represented the spirit of Alaskans earning national and international notoriety as North America’s premier winter festival.  Visitors from the state, nation and world descend on Anchorage every February to join the 12-day festival. enhancing families and youth experiences, creating memories of wacky fun and being part of a “Spring Break” experience in Alaska.

2025 Fur Rendezvous will have more than 20-25 official cultural and sporting activities such as the Great Alaska Talent Competition, Rondy Fur Auction, Blanket Toss, Rondy Fireworks Extravaganza, Open World Championship Sled Dog Race, Rondy Carnival, Frostbite Footrace, Grand Parade, Miners and Trappers Country Jam, Rondy Melodrama, CJ Native Arts Market, Running of the Reindeer, Rondy Fest and many more.

In addition, you can attend nearly 20-25 community Rondy Around Town events, offering wacky winter fun for all ages. The festival will also continue to partner with over 40 nonprofit partners with many that benefit or support families and children and directly benefit from their engagement.  In 2024, Rondy energized and engaged residents in this end of winter, up lifting family friendly festival where friends enjoy winter.

The fun of Fur Rendezvous 2023

Fur Rendezvous is 10-12 days of “Spring Break” fun managed by Greater Anchorage Inc the last week of February and first week of March. Viewers should note that the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog RaceTM is not a Fur Rendezvous event but an event held on the first Saturday of March concurrently with Fur Rendezvous events.  It is managed by the Iditarod Race Committee. Both of our organizers embrace our history, the sled dogs and Alaska’s state sport of dog mushing.
