You are invited to take your place in Alaska history and submit a design for the 2025 Anchorage Fur Rendezvous Collector Pin.
All entries must be received no later than 4:00pm on Friday, June 7th, 2024.
Criteria:
- The design must be original, not copied from any other source or currently in use with any other commercial endeavors.
- The design must be such that when greatly reduced for a variety of memorabilia items, it is still legible. (Color lapel collector pin is 1 ¾ inch wide. Tie Tac is ¾ inch wide)
- The design must be appropriate to the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous festival. We want a pin that reflects the nature of this event as the premier winter festival in the world!
- Focus on designing a unique Alaskan subject that has not been featured in recent years.
- The design must be submitted in complete art form and in full color (no more than 5 colors). Digitally created entries should include only a color print of the artwork, not electronic copies.
- The artist submitting the design must agree that, if their design is selected, it becomes the sole and exclusive property of Greater Anchorage, Inc. and must sign an artist release form before the drawing can be accepted for consideration.
- The final design selection will be made by the Merchandise Committee.
- You do not need to be an Alaska resident to submit a design.
- There is no limit to the number of designs any one person may submit. The selection of the design is not tied to the selection of the manufacturer.
- It must also be understood that Greater Anchorage, Inc. offers no monetary remuneration to the artist for submitting the design. Selected design will receive a $200 cash award. In addition, the artist will receive a place in Alaska history, experience 10 days of “fame” by being featured in the Official Guide, a ride in the Rondy Grand Parade, plus the artist will receive selected merchandise items featuring the design. So, don’t procrastinate, this could be the big break you’ve been looking for!
- Incomplete or unsigned entries will not be accepted or judged, so please complete the attached entry and release form.
