Marketing Manager – Immediate need – Open until filled.

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join Anchorage Fur Rendezvous, North America’s premier winter festival. Responsible for using a multitude of platforms to raise awareness and participation of the festival.  Should have critical skill sets in media and press relations, writing, event marketing, graphic arts, online retail and ticket sales, website editing and advertisement sales to support this 89-year tradition of Anchorage with details found at www.furrondy.net.

Should be creative, enthusiastic, flexible, and a good communicator.  Typical computer software programs used are Adobe Suite - InDesign / Photoshop / Premiere, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Facebook & Hootsuite, Eventbrite and Shopify.

The position works with a team of other contracted professionals who provide radio buy, social media coordination, graphic design of the festival Guide, website management orchestrated and guided by our Board Marketing Chair who has led the team for over 10 years. 

Permanent, part time seasonal, hourly position (25 – 40+ hours per week) with a pay of $22 – 25.00 / hour based on experience with schedule flexing with demands up and through Fur Rendezvous with paid overtime. As a seasonal position, benefits are not available however a parking space is provided during employment and the fun experiences during Fur Rendezvous, (Position needed November 1– April 15).

Merchandise / Retail and Events Clerk

Position – Seasonal Parttime Jan 22 – March 11

14.00 – $15.00 / hour (variable up to 40 hours/week with Overtime as needed)

Duties
The primary responsibility of the merchandise retail and events clerk will be to assist the Merchandise Manager and assistant in the aspects of merchandise sales for Fur Rondy. This will include but is not limited to staffing the Fur Rondy retail store. 

Retail Store 
•	Provide excellent customer service to all customers that come into Fur Rondy’s retail store.
•	Ensure that retail store is kept clean and tidy.
•	Assist in processing all retail store sales in database.
•	Greet, assist and answer questions of visitors to the retail store.
•	Answer the Rondy and retail store phone lines.
•	Process and account for payments made by use of cash register and computer.

Merchandise Sales
•	Assist in making it easy through direct mail, in-person, online and/or telephone to sell merchandise.
•	Assist processing each order and mailouts in the database.
•	Help sell Fur Rondy’s numbered pin activity and assist in updating filing system and computer database.
•	Help with the display and replenishment of racks of non-pin merchandise.
•	Assist in selling merchandise and pins at indoor event locations. 
•	Process and account for payments made at event locations.

Inventory
•	Assist in counting all merchandise, stocking shelves, and inventory related tasks.
•	Assist in the documentation needs of inventory.

Memberships
•	Assist in selling GAI memberships with direction By Manager
•	Assist in the mail out / notification of members of renewal dates.

Events registrations & ticketed events
•	Assist in processing event registrations to Rondy events at the Store.
•	Assist in selling admission tickets to indoor events at the store or event location.
•	Assisting in the sale and accounting of Raffle ticket sales
•	Process and account for payments made.

We welcome you to Fur Rendezvous! This year, Fur Rondy is working to uphold our winter festival tradition. Our goal is to host a festival that, will be a quality experience for everyone – volunteers, participants, and spectators alike.

Volunteers have been the life blood of Rondy allowing for awesome event experiences and memories. Rondy has also been partners to over 40 nonprofit organizations to support their income through event partnerships and has been a consistent boost to the economy during a season that our businesses are not entertaining tourists. Our city, our economy, and our community spirit need a Rondy – and we need all of you, pulling with us, to ensure that we are all providing a good example!
